Sensex nosedives again, down 467 points


Sensex crashed hard once again, for the second time in a row, with a 467 points cut on Monday, January 10, 2011. On Friday, January 07, 2011, the Sensex had dipped 492 points. Sensex closed at 19224 on Monday, January 10, 2011, while National Stock Exchange's Nifty ended at 5762.85, down 141.75 points

HDFC Bank was the top loser with an exceptional fall of 5%, the share closing at Rs.2154.90, down as much as Rs.113.45. Most of other biggies like BHEL, HDFC, Hindalco Industries, Jaiprakash Associates, Bajaj Auto, were among the significant losers. Kotak Mahindra Bank had an extraordinary fall of 6.71% as well
